BR 4-6-2 'Morlais Castle', Castle Class Locomotive / Two BR Mk1 Composite Coaches / BR Mk1 Brake Coach
'Torbay Express' was the named train that ran from London, Paddington and Kingswear on the South Devon coast and commenced operation in 1923. Although, like many other named trains, the service was suspended for the duration of the Second World War, it was reintroduced in 1946, with the model representative of how the train appeared in 1956. This limited edition Great British Trains pack features specially produced Castle Class locomotive 'Mortlais Castle', complete with 'Torbay Express' headboard, plus three Mark 1 coaches in the distinctive chocolate and cream livery of the day.
